I learned the sax whilst in the Army, performing in many ensembles including the Big Band, marching band and the full symphonic wind band.

I now play as part of a sax quartet (see Performing page) and also teach beginners to Grade V.

Memorable experiences include:

• The Edinburgh Military Tattoo
• Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace
• Royal Salutes with King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery
• Joining forces with the Royal Marines Band, Plymouth to perform a week's show, Music of the Night
• Rememberance Parades at Wellington Arch
